Longest Day Yet

What a crazy day

Right before I shut down my computer yesterday, my boss invited me to a 7:30 meeting, and I accepted, then remembered that I had an 8:30 ergo review. No big deal - I could just trade with B for his 9am slot. I came in and had the meeting with my new boss. We went over to Building 1 and met with a new client on a project that I instigated.

Then I went to Dublin, had my ergo reviews, send a few emails with clarifying questions in them, did a little bit of work, and got the new list for K&R. Then I went to this lunch, then we came back and I had another meeting in the archives with my boss, and I introduce her to B, C, K, and R, but V isn't there because he has a doctor's appt.

Then I get the message [regarding T, K&R, Richmond, negotiation, deal struck!]. After the phone call is over, V shows up, "I need knee surgery on the 5th, how is the new employer going to react? What should I do?" So I counseled him, then drove to the gym, worked out, come home, put some laundry in the wash and my mom called, saying "Jolene is going to China."

After that, I showered and vamped up a bit - dark eyeliner and red lipstick - for the happy hour at el Balazo. It was fun - loud though. I did meet some interesting people, and I could tell that my make-up got me a warmer reception from some of the guys. I left at 10, and was given a hard time because I hadn't had anything to drink and was leaving so early. "It is my bedtime," I told them, and explained how I needed to work the next day.
