The Right Mindset

We ran out of stuff for the library contractors to do, so, per the suggestion of the contractors, I contacted Dennis and David and arranged for two to go to Richmond and the other two to have the day off tomorrow.

I went to the Women's Network Leadership Panel today, and I realized that I do have the right mindset to go very far. I am so glad to be working for a company that realizes that.

After the Panel, I spoke with some people and then went back to the warehouse. I let the three remaining contractors (K left at 11:30 for an afternoon appointment) go two hours early and gave R&J directions to the Richmond library.

At about 4, I discovered that my shoes were broken! Clare and I had a good conversation as we were leaving. I sat in the traffic on 680 North - without AC - to go to Trader Joe's. And you know what? I wasn't frustrated - I was patient, and I enjoyed the time. I bought my groceries at Trader Joe's, including some cereal and milk, then went home.
