Let there be Light

and a view, finally. I moved today.

So I went to sign the papers and get the keys at about 9:30, and learned I needed a money order. I signed all the papers, then went to the safeway. After discovering that I had to buy a money order with CASH, then confirming that my ATM withdrawal limit was lower than the ammount of the money order, I began to cry, then the cashier said that I could do a debit cash withdrawal, and we did that. Phew.

I went back to the apartment office, got my PG&E account number, did the rest of the paperwork, then ran back, hoping I hadn't missed the person coming to transfer my cable and internet. I didn't, and I quickly moved my TV and computer over here. I waited with him while he installed the stuff. I also moved some of my stuff, starting with the bathroom and the closet, but then realized that I needed to get ready for the movers. I moved all my clothes and began putting decorations in boxes.

Then I got worried that the movers were late, but they arrived. For the next three hours, I moved things back and forth, and did some unpacking. I would pack one of my clear plastic boxes, transport all my stuff, unpack it, then go back for more. I washed my dishes, but not very well, so I put them all in the dishwasher. I left my vacuum, broom, mop, some cleaning supplies, and the kitchen garbage can at the old apartment. At about 4:45 or so, I finally locked the door and came over to the new place. I set up my computer and got online. I talked to Mike, Shane, Jon, and my parents. I really like this new place, I can't believe how much of a difference the light factor really makes. Not to mention that I really have a view now, not just a tree. I see a hill, which might have coyotes. I also get to see birds, potentially, things like hawks.

Good to have more light and a better view. Even though I know it is just like your first apartment, just reversed, I still wish I could see the new place. Love Mom
